G&O Stone was appointed to complete a full renovation of a Grade II listed apartment in Stanhope Gardens, Kensington.
One of the main features of this project was the bespoke joinery, comprising new bespoke made fitted wardrobes, TV console and kitchen. The kitchen was designed in such a way that appliances could be hidden, making the space appear not be a kitchen. This illusion was created by using ‘push down’ taps, hinged worktop with gaskets so it could fold over the sink, and sliding doors to cover the oven.
The project also involved lath and plaster ceilings, new Junkers flooring, new bathroom and a full rewire with the new lighting and changes in locations of rooms.
